We’re happy to go out to these restaurants before you rely on a 4 star Yelp rating when looking for that perfect place. Well, I took a shot in the dark and decided to check out this highly Yelp rated restaurant in Fort Greene – Wallabout Seafood & Co. As tasty as this picture looks I could have been just as happy making a piece of fish at home. It was good, but this is the perfect example of how NYC as a whole is a huge trap for foodies if you don’t know where to go.
The ambiance of this place is wonderful. I loved the multiple outdoor seating options and the low lighting. The service was weird and very transparent. For example the waitress came over to ask how we liked our food, but walked away before we could answer. We also had the grilled octopus as an appetizer- below average. The squid ink pasta was prepared well and if you end up here I do suggest giving it a shot.
This place just makes me cringe and think about all of the cute places in Brooklyn with average food that suck people in
